Other recent activities the levels have done are:
Nido wrapped up our color unit with some games including our favorite Lotería (Bingo). We spent the rest of the month talking about la granja (farm) and all the animals that live there. We did farm animal yoga and sang En la Granja de Miguel (Old MacDonald).
Laguna worked with partners to create a city map labeled in Spanish. The kids really excelled at this project, both from a teamwork standpoint and in designing cities.
Lago concluded our unit on animals, their characteristics, diets and habitats. Students drew and wrote about an imaginary animal combining the features of multiple animals. A book of these drawings will be available in the Lake classroom if you would like to see.
Cielo students each chose an article from one of our Spanish-language magazines and wrote about some interesting points from it. They worked with partners to create a comic strip using positive and negative reactions (Fabuloso, Horrible etc.) which will also be good vocabulary for student participation in TPR storytelling.
